Glasses and EMFs

Image
Image from Swissflex Eyewear In our electropolluted environment, the metal used in most glasses frames can be a real problem, as it acts as an antenna, attracting EMFs towards the eyes and the head, and leading to various issues. Here’s my experience of getting a pair of all-plastic glasses frames to deal with this problem... (Disclaimer: This post is not an ‘infommercial’, but just a record of my own experience in obtaining a pair of all-plastic glasses frames, which people may find useful. Other companies offering metal-free glasses may also be available). I used to wear a pair of glasses that had mostly plastic frames, apart from metal hinges, and a short metal strengthening rod in both arms. Although the frames weren’t completely made out of metal, or didn’t have metal strengthening rods along the whole of the arms, wearing them still seemed to cause headaches. Which, given the ever - increasing amount of electrosmog in our environment, probably shouldn't come as a surprise. I...

UK: Ofcom EMF Consultation: Have Your Say...

Image
Quite often, people who have recently joined up the dots and linked exposure to EMFs to their symptoms - in other words, people who have realised that they are 'electrosensitive' - try to get their heads around what has happened to them, and why. I know that I did. A dawning awareness of the harmful nature of the electrosmog which now pollutes our homes and everywhere else prompts incredulity that the 'authorities' can let it happen. Surely, if the NHS, Public Health England, the Government, the World Health Organisation, and so on, are just told that people are becoming extremely ill as a result of all of the wireless technologies everywhere, they will urgently leap into action, and sort this growing public health disaster out with all of the determination and competency that they are currently showing in handling the Coronavirus pandemic? (Ok, perhaps with a little more determination and competency than that...). In the early days, like many people, I tr...

Rachel Hinks: Please help me

Image
(Image from: Mirror, http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/woman-forced-give-up-home-9653483 ) [Editor's note: [My comment: We met Rachel in Chichester a couple of weeks ago, to see for ourselves how bad her situation is, and whether we could do anything to help. As you can see from her fundraising page, she has suffered from a number of serious and incapacitating health conditions for many years, and now, on top of all of those, she also suffers from electromagnetic hypersensitivity. Her small rented home is completely unsuitable for somebody with EHS, as you can see from the video, and - as a result - she can't sleep there, but instead needs to sleep wherever she can; tents, yurts, and now in a friend's summer house at the end of the garden. Despite the daily challenges of living with all of her long-term health issues, Rachel is focusing on what she can do to improve her own situation, and she talked about how she would then like to be able to hel...

My Testimony of Microwave Illness, by George Parker

Image
Image: George Parker in Vietnam (Editor's note: These are George Parker's own words - I haven't made any significant alterations to his testimony) Let us go back in time---say 1880, when electricity was first introduced and installed in the home of super rich and famous people. Within a short time they became ill with an idiopathic illness. As more electricity was install into homes and factories more people became ill. The super rich and famous became offended when the ordinary worker in their factories began to get the same illness as they were suffering. There illness was seen only for the socialites and how can an ordinary person get the same. The medical practitioners noticed the symptoms were similar for the rich and famous and the ordinary worker and began to see their illness was “nervous exhaustion” and names it in 1881 as “neurasthenia” by the medical profession. They said in 1881: “neurasthenia as the most frequent, the most important, and...

Electrosensitive...and proud!

Image
I made a throwaway comment on Facebook recently, about how I think that we, the electrosensitive community, need to speak out and assert our fundamental human rights, through something that resembles the Gay Pride movement. While LGBT individuals are making great strides around the world in the quest for an end to the stigma, prejudice and discrimination which has faced them in the past, we - by the very nature of our condition perhaps - are collectively much less vocal, and even when we do manage to get our voices heard, we then usually have to endure the barrage of "tinfoil hat" gags, and patronising, ignorant, and/or downright offensive comments. Here's a recent example of the latter, possibly well-meaning (but who knows?), left underneath a Humans of New York photo and comment from an electrosensitive lady: "It seems the hardest thing for people without mental illness to understand ...
