Glasses and EMFs

Image
Image from Swissflex Eyewear In our electropolluted environment, the metal used in most glasses frames can be a real problem, as it acts as an antenna, attracting EMFs towards the eyes and the head, and leading to various issues. Here’s my experience of getting a pair of all-plastic glasses frames to deal with this problem... (Disclaimer: This post is not an ‘infommercial’, but just a record of my own experience in obtaining a pair of all-plastic glasses frames, which people may find useful. Other companies offering metal-free glasses may also be available). I used to wear a pair of glasses that had mostly plastic frames, apart from metal hinges, and a short metal strengthening rod in both arms. Although the frames weren’t completely made out of metal, or didn’t have metal strengthening rods along the whole of the arms, wearing them still seemed to cause headaches. Which, given the ever - increasing amount of electrosmog in our environment, probably shouldn't come as a surprise. I...

Major EHS tribunal decision in the UK

Image
A recent decision by the Upper Tribunal (Administrative Appeals Chamber) has found that an EHS child who is made ill by Wi-Fi must be accommodated by her school, which needs to produce - and implement - an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for her continuing education. This ground-breaking news became public knowledge on 17th August 2022, when Local Government Lawyer published this article:   ' Upper Tribunal requires council to secure EHCP for student who is hypersensitive to Wi-Fi signals' . The article noted that: 'The Upper Tribunal has ruled that a council must secure special educational provision for a child who has electromagnetic hypersensitivity and is particularly sensitive to Wi-Fi signals' The Upper Tribunal decision is here . On 19th August 2022, PHIRE Medical (Physicians' Health Initiative for Radiation and Environment) issued this press release , which gave additional details about this case, including statements from the parents and child, and...

BBC Bias, Part 2: 5G and WiFi

Image
The story so far... Last year, I complained to the BBC, concerning its woefully biased coverage of the EMF/Health issue on a tv programme it broadcast called Health: Truth or Scare: Mobile Phones: BBC Bias https://beingelectrosensitive.blogspot.com/2019/05/ To cut a long story short, the BBC refused to accept that this programme was biased and that it misrepresented the science on the health effects of wireless technologies such as mobile phones, mobile masts, Wi-Fi and smart meters (although it did concede one or two points that I made in my complaint). I escalated my complaint through all stages of the BBC's complaints process, and then, because I still wasn't satisfied with the responses that I received, I escalated it to the regulator, Ofcom. My complaint then, to all intents and purposes, disappeared into the ether. I may publish the full correspondence between the BBC and myself on this blog at some point. Since then, the BBC has continued t...

Radiation and Me - by artist Jane Goodfellow

Image
About 40 years ago I noticed that close proximity to neon tubes made me feel ill, but my life wasn't badly impacted as they were easy to avoid. Then, while working as a graphic designer in the 90's, the industry went Apple Mac mad, and I had to use one or become unemployable (and they certainly made previously laborious tasks quick and easy). However, I soon developed headaches and mild nausea if I used the computer for long periods, so I took frequent breaks. In about 2005 I started working in publishing as a sub-editor, which necessitated spending ages online, in proximity to Wi-Fi, and I acquired a cellphone, despite being wary of them. And then the poo really hit the fan... Headaches, poor concentration, insomnia, brain fog and poor memory were just the start, followed by sore glands in the throat and M.E. However, I didn't join the dots and relate these odd symptoms to radiation until about three years ago, when very frequent shingles attacks started ...

Formal Complaint to the EU concerning EMFs, by Diana Kordas

Image
Editor's note: Below, you'll find an introductory email from Diana Kordas, and following this, her complaint to the European Union about the health issues posed by wireless technologies within Europe. There's a link to a downloadable version of this at the bottom of this post, for anybody who would like to make a similar complaint under their own name to the EU, or to any other organisation or individual. My grateful thanks to Diana for allowing me to post her complaint here. Hi,   My husband and I have just sent this letter to the EU to complain that wireless technologies are destroying nature and violate our basic rights. We sent it both as an email and as a registered letter. A copy was sent also to the Council of Europe, asking them to take this up on behalf of EU citizens. It may not do any good, but it will be interesting to see if the EU responds and what it says.   Obviously the EU does not want to hear from its citizens. I call...
