Major EHS tribunal decision in the UK

Image
A recent decision by the Upper Tribunal (Administrative Appeals Chamber) has found that an EHS child who is made ill by Wi-Fi must be accommodated by her school, which needs to produce - and implement - an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for her continuing education. This ground-breaking news became public knowledge on 17th August 2022, when Local Government Lawyer published this article:   ' Upper Tribunal requires council to secure EHCP for student who is hypersensitive to Wi-Fi signals' . The article noted that: 'The Upper Tribunal has ruled that a council must secure special educational provision for a child who has electromagnetic hypersensitivity and is particularly sensitive to Wi-Fi signals' The Upper Tribunal decision is here . On 19th August 2022, PHIRE Medical (Physicians' Health Initiative for Radiation and Environment) issued this press release , which gave additional details about this case, including statements from the parents and child, and...

UK: Ofcom EMF Consultation: Have Your Say...

Image
Quite often, people who have recently joined up the dots and linked exposure to EMFs to their symptoms - in other words, people who have realised that they are 'electrosensitive' - try to get their heads around what has happened to them, and why. I know that I did. A dawning awareness of the harmful nature of the electrosmog which now pollutes our homes and everywhere else prompts incredulity that the 'authorities' can let it happen. Surely, if the NHS, Public Health England, the Government, the World Health Organisation, and so on, are just told that people are becoming extremely ill as a result of all of the wireless technologies everywhere, they will urgently leap into action, and sort this growing public health disaster out with all of the determination and competency that they are currently showing in handling the Coronavirus pandemic? (Ok, perhaps with a little more determination and competency than that...). In the early days, like many people, I tr...

Mobile Phones: BBC Bias

Image
The BBC, Britain's state broadcaster, aired an extremely biased piece about mobile phones on Tuesday 23rd April 2019, as part of a programme called 'Heath: Truth or Scare'. I was contacted about this by a severely electrosensitive person, who was upset about the one-sided nature of the coverage. On watching the programme myself, I was amazed at the BBC's portrayal of mobile phones and other wireless devices as being essentially harmless. Indeed, the idea that these things are harmful was described as a 'myth' by one of the presenters. The programme featured two 'experts', who both denied that mobile phones are harmful. This message was reiterated by one of the presenters, as well as by the reporter. Apparently, the BBC had failed to do even a small amount of research beforehand, and had also failed to invite a properly qualified EMF expert to take part. The poor lady and her family who were the subject of the piece were given some spectacu...

EHS isn't always invisible...

Image
My comment: In addition to Diana's post here, Towards Better Health has published an article about her containing links to interviews and press coverage. There's a link to this below. Edited 4th October 2016: Links to Diana's YouTube videos added Name: Diana Boughton Location: UK How long have you been electrosensitive? Over 15 years Your story: Discriminated against, ridiculed, disbelieved, humiliated, misunderstood, isolated – these are some of the ‘symptoms’ of electrohypersensitivity (EHS), from which I have suffered for over 15 years. I noticed a problem when my parents gave me a computer for my new home, which connected to the internet via dial-up. It was the first piece of technology I’d had during my adult life and within a few days of regular use I noticed that my ears were ringing whenever the computer was switched on. ...

Joining up the dots...

Name: Dave Ashton Country: UK How long have you been electrosensitive (and how long did it take you to make the link to EMFs?): I've been electrosensitive since at least 2007, but I can think of previous episodes that were probably indications of sensitivity. I finally knew beyond all doubt in December 2013. Your story (anything that you want to say about electrosensitivity and you): (For my friend in Green Bank West Virginia, the de-facto EHS capital of the U.S., who has asked me a number of times to tell my story!) The way that I look at it: We are bio-electromagnetic beings; if we weren't, EEGs and ECGs wouldn't work! Our brainwaves are completely entwined with the Schumann Resonance, the electromagnetic pulse of our planet. (1) We are ALL sensitive to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) at the cellular level (2) When we are exposed to EMFs, things happen: sometimes these are beneficial, and some...
